China is one of the most famous ancient civilizations, with a history spanning over 5,000 years. China is the most populated country with a large land mass and abundant resources. China opened up to the world in 1978, joined the world trade organization in 2001 (WTO), and hosting the 2008 Summer Olympic games in Beijing. There's an old Chinese adage that says: "People view food as the most important". That pretty much sums up my view on food as well. I love to eat all types of food and cuisine, and I especially enjoy the hot and spicy food of the Szechuan province in China.

China's food and cuisine has had a long history. The five flavors of spicy, sweet, bitter, sour, and salty has been used in Chinese cooking over 3,000 years ago. Today, traditional Chinese food ranks among the worlds best and most popular. Authentic Chinese cuisine focus on 3 key aspects: taste, color (display), and fragrance, and Chinese cooking is very particular about cutting style and cooking temperature.

The official currency of China is the RMB (RenMinBi), or translated as "the people's currency". The basic unit is the Yuan (or kuai), or equivalent to what we call the "dollar" in North America. Next unit down is the "Jiao" (or also "mao"), or "10 cents". Finally, the smallest unit is the "Fen", equivalent to our "penny".

Highly Active Property Market in Estonia Wednesday, August 25, 2010

The fourth quarter of 2005 was characterized by high activity in the Estonia real estate market, especially in Tallinn, Parnu and nearby surrounding areas. With the demand for properties continuing, there are warnings of not enough properties to meet demand, and the trend for increase in property prices persisted in every field of real estate.

According to Eurostat, the statistical agency of the European Union (EU), Estonia ranked second in the European Union for its economic growth of 10.4 percent in Q3

The market for apartments was one of the most active ones. The prices rose around 10-20% in the last quarter throughout the sector. The increase in prices was at times measurable in days.

The apartments are sold with little need for advertising, with a significant part of the sales campaigns for new developments are well designed web pages. People tend to buy their homes based on virtual designs.

The market for houses and plots of land also upholds an active market. The most popular projects include semi-detached and terraced rows, with the demand far exceeding the availability most clearly.

The former Soviet Baltic state has seen a surge of foreign investors since it joined the European Union in May 2004. It enjoys one of the fastest growing and most stable economies in eastern Europe, and large-scale, post-accession investment is rapidly improving infrastructure.

Alternative and Non Toxic Cancer Treatments That No One Wants You to Know!

A study completed in 1993 by a German biostatistician named Ulrich Abel found that the overall success rate for most cancers treated with standard allopathic treatment (chemo, radiation, & surgery) was just 4%. That is a ridiculous number compared to the amount of money it costs for a average person to cure their cancer. If the cancer does not kill you it will certainly kill your bank account. More people die because of the treatments of cancer than because of cancer itself. Chemotherapy, radiation and surgery are the main killers. So why don´t the governments use other methods for treating cancer? Maybe they do not want to use other methods.

The fact is that organized medicine is a business and the goal is to make profits to the big boys who run the business not to cure cancer. If there was a easy and fast way to cure cancer a lot of people would not be very happy about it, because they would lose money. Cancer treatment can cost thousands and thousands of dollars for an average person or even more and there are millions of cancer victims all over the world. If you put the numbers together you can imagine the profits the people who run the business make. That is the way it is.

Doctors are told from day one that the only ways to treat cancer is with chemotherapy. radiation and surgery. Your likelihood of success is lowest if you depend on conventional treatment and highest if you employ Nature-based, non-allopathic therapies.

What Causes Cancer?

Many people have a strong fear of getting cancer because they do not know how they can get it. The orthodox medicine does not give enough information. Smoking, drinking, radiation exposure, asbestos exposure, radon gas, etc can cause cancer but then why do not everybody who smokes or drinks get cancer? The internal biological environment and the spiritual/emotional state of mind is not discussed by the cancer industry, because again they simple do not want you to know. It's much easier to cure yourself of cancer once you understand what causes cancer malignancy and how to stop it.

The truth is that most medical research is organised, paid for, commissioned or subsidised by the drug industry. Celia Farber said:"Modern medicine, the entire industry and social machinery of it is, at its root, a totalitarian system. By that, I mean that there is a central ideology that seeks to enforce its domination by methodically obstructing any ideas that run counter to it."
Despite all the super technology the greatest danger to your health is the doctor who practices Modern Medicine. When a doctor's primary job is to blindly hand out drugs that often do more harm than good, or inject their patients with poisons for the sake of doing good, than something is very wrong indeed. Holistic methods focus on working with the body and boosting whatever immune system the patient still has. Chemotherapy and radiation by contrast, usually devastate the immune system at the one time in you life that you need it the most. Dr. Martin Henry Fischer:"Half of the modern drugs could well be thrown out of the window, except that the birds might eat them."

The natural purpose and driving force of the pharmaceutical industry is to increase sales of pharmaceutical drugs for ongoing diseases and to find new diseases to market existing drugs. By this very nature, the pharmaceutical industry has no interest in curing diseases.

First Day 1 - July 2010 Grand Sumo Tournament Tuesday, August 24, 2010

Nagoya meet gets under way under specter of gambling ring "...The Nagoya Grand Sumo Tournament kicked off the opening day on Sunday to a nearly packed house shaken but undeterred by a gambling scandal rocking the ancient Japanese sport. Grand champion Hakuho, bidding for his third consecutive title, got off to a turbo start with a victory over Georgian Tochinoshin, shrugging off his own critics following a gaffe he made earlier this week. In the day's final at Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium, Hakuho quickly got both hands wrapped around the newly promoted komusubi before rolling him to the dirt with an overarm throw. Sumo's lone yokozuna won the previous two meets with perfect 15-0 marks and is now on a 33-bout winning streak dating back to January. Hakuho got in a bit of hot water after admitting to gambling on ''hanafuda'' Japanese card games, but he has not been implicated in the more serious baseball gambling ring, which is allegedly linked to Japan's criminal underworld. He later criticized the sumo association for going too far by deciding not to present the coveted Emperor's Cup, or any other awards at the 15-day Nagoya meet. Outside the auditorium the mood was somber with a tightened police presence on the lookout for any criminal elements and signs posted near the entrance strictly forbidding gangsters from the premise. Inside, an announcer repeated the same message over the PA system. Hiroshi Murayama, who is acting chief for suspended Japan Sumo Association ...

Amber Jewelry - What is Amber? Sunday, August 22, 2010

Amber is often classified as a gemstone in the same class as turquoise and jade. However, it is actually is fossil of tree resin. Amber is available in a number of different colors: yellow, brown, green among others. The most highly priced amber is transparent. The main producer of Amber is Russia; in fact about 90% of amber comes from the Kaliningrad region in Russia. As you walk along the beaches in countries like Lithuania, Estonia, which are by the Baltic Sea, Amber washes up on the shores. Amber can be made into different spectacular unique jewelry such as Rings, Bracelets, Earrings, Necklace

Amber and Magic

In days gone by, amber was claimed to possess the power of healing. Worn as a necklace or charm, or carried around in small bags, amber was believed to be a remedy against ailments such as gout, rheumatism, sore throats, toothache, and stomach-ache. It was also believed that amber accelerated birth and was a good remedy against snake bites. To guard against the swapping of a new born baby, the infant was often given an amber necklace to wear. Amber was supposed to contain magical powers, which is why heart shaped amber charms were carried to offer protection against evil forces and help against witchcraft. Amber is often used to make jewelry, fashion and home accessories. It would therefore be important to know whether you have a genuine or fake piece. This is especially important if you are buying a large piece by weight.

Tips to determine whether you have the real thing or a fake:

If you put a few drops of alcohol on a stone and it evaporates easily and the surface does not become sticky, the amber is genuine. If the surface becomes sticky, you have a fake.

Let salt dissolve in hot water, put the amber in the water, if the amber floats you have a genuine piece. If it sinks, you have a fake.

Once you have purchased genuine amber jewelry, which could be expensive, you want to care for your investment.

Here are a few tips:

-Don't leave your amber jewelry in direct sunlight.
-Use your perfume before you wear your amber jewelry.
-Avoid contact with any household cleaners.
-Clean with a solution of mild soap and warm water.
-You can polish you amber jewelry and give it a nice shine with olive oil.

When is Father's Day?

Unlike Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Pay Day, Father's Day's place in the calendar can seem difficult to pinpoint because it changes from year to year - and, indeed, from country to country. You might think that this gives you a legitimate excuse to forget it, but when there's such a wondrous array of gifts available to light up his eyes, why would you want to forget it?

To be honest, the chances of anyone who lives within 200 miles of western civilisation forgetting Father's Day are very slim indeed. The early warning sirens will have given you at least a month's notice. Card shop windows will be prodding you with subtle capitalised slogans, pubs and restaurants will be advising you to "Book now for Father's Day", which is nice of them, and even the new page on your calendar will have that telltale little subheading under the date. And that doesn't take into account the fact that your dad has started being extra nice to you and asking your mum how she enjoyed Mother's Day.

But say the card shops all closed down, the pubs were banned from advertising, your calendar and diary have fallen behind the fridge and your dad is on a business trip to the moon. Then how will you know when Father's Day is?

It's easy. Ever since the first Father's Day was proposed by Sonora Smart Dodd in the early 1900s, it has been held on the third Sunday in June. So: in 2008 it's on 15 June;
in 2009 it will be on 21 June; and in 2010 it will be on 20 June.

Now for the complicated bit. Not every nation follows the "third Sunday in June" rule. The ones that do stick with the rule include most of North and South America, a big chunk of Europe plus China, Pakistan, India, South Africa and the Philippines. However, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Belgium use 29 March.

In Germany it always coincides with Ascension Day, which is forty days after Easter and therefore on a Thursday. It's also called "Men's Day", and is not as much of a family day as is the British Father's Day; indeed, the men (not necessarily fathers) often go off into the countryside an engage in what resembles a pub crawl! Fortunately for the German economy, it's a public holiday.

In Finland, Norway, Sweden and Estonia, Father's Day is held on the second Sunday of November, but Denmark holds it on 5 June.

Other major exceptions are Brazil (second Sunday in August) and Australia and New Zealand (first Sunday in September), and there is a smattering of other countries' Father's Days or their traditional equivalents throughout the year.

So now you know when it is, you are just left with the exceedingly simple task of deciding what Fathers Day gifts to get for your No. 1 dad. It's a good starting point to eliminate all the obvious presents and think about to stretching your imagination a little. The internet is full of excellent websites where amusing, innovative and personally meaningful gifts can be found. So start searching for some amazing presents - all you need to know is what country you're in.
